The Steigerwalds mark 50th with dinner and trip

LEAVITTSBURG -- Mr. and Mrs. Richard Steigerwald of Leavittsburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a family dinner Nov. 18 at Alessi's Restaurant in Garrettsville.
They also celebrated the occasion during a recent trip to Colonial Williamsburg, Va.
The former Joyce Edwards and Mr. Steigerwald exchanged marriage vows Nov. 21, 1951, at Second Christian Church of Warren.
Their children and spouses are James and Lee Ann Berlyoung of Elyria, David and Lisa Kana of Leavittsburg, Vicki Steigerwald of Leavittsburg, Richard and Rhonda Steigerwald of Columbus, and Edward and Gerri Steigerwald of Champion. The family circle includes seven grandchildren.
Mr. Steigerwald graduated from Oberlin College and Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa. He taught music at Leavittsburg High School for 13 years and for Warren City Schools for 17 years. He owns J & amp;R. Band Instrument Repair.
Mrs. Steigerwald retired in 1990 from Satellite Truck Body and Contempo Vans in Lordstown.
