Rayen loses to Canton Central Catholic

YOUNGSTOWN -- Molly Steineck scored 26 points and shot 10-for-10 from the foul line Saturday to lead Canton Central Catholic past The Rayen School 58-45 in a high school girls basketball game. Alicia Opriean scored 11 points and pulled in nine rebounds for the Crusaders (1-1).
Cherell Triplett scored 15 points and blocked 10 shots, while Taryn Perkins had seven rebounds for the Tigers (1-3).
Rayen freshman Taneisha Holland collected nine points and nine assists.
Brookfield 57, West Middlesex 14: BROOKFIELD -- Holly Demay scored 16 points and nine other players got into the scoring column for the Warriors (1-0).
Samantha Puhak also had nine rebounds for the Warriors, who led 18-4 after one quarter and 28-9 at the break.
