Las Vegas' Flamingo Road got a flashy addition recently when the $265 million Palms Casino Resort opened.
Developed by entrepreneur George Maloof Jr., the 42-story resort has 447 rooms priced at $89 to $299 per night, a 95,000-square-foot gaming floor, a 14-screen movie complex, seven restaurants, a nightclub and a spa.

Graphic arts exhibitat Albuquerque Museum
The Albuquerque Museum features a premier collection of American prints through Jan. 6. The exhibit, "An American Focus: The Anderson Graphic Arts Collection," contains nearly 200 prints, monotypes and multiples.
Featured artists include Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg. The exhibit was organized by the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Many of the prints are considered icons of 20th-century art. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday.
