YOUNGSTOWN -- Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church was the setting Nov. 10 for the 1 p.m. wedding of Melissa Ellen McCowin and Dominic Anthony Mordocco.
The bride is a daughter of William McCowin, 786 Sandalwood Road, Perrysburg, and Evelyn and Todd Davis, 51012 N. Front St., Negley.
Mr. Mordocco is a son of Dolly Pugliese, 7735-A Crimson Trail Court, and the late Mickey Mordocco.
Monsignor Michael Cariglio officiated, and a reception was held in the church social hall.
After a honeymoon to Naples, Fla., the couple are living at 7503 Hitchcock Road, Boardman.
A white satin gown designed with a halter-style neckline was worn by the bride. It was embellished with pearls, and a cathedral veil completed her ensemble.
Honor attendants were Heather Bryan, the bride's sister, and Jennifer Carey. They wore taupe gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Toni Hritz, the groom's sister; Patti Cusick; Lorraine Bendel; and Danielle Bendel.
Dave McGraw and John Scheckelhoff shared the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Mark Hritz, the groom's brother-in-law; Chad McCowin, the bride's brother; Steve Bendel; and Scott Bendel.
A licensed social worker at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman, the bride holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Youngstown State University.
The groom is an apprentice with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 64 in Youngstown.
