Machine embroidery has made its way to the masses.
Brother International Corp.'s PE-150 embroidery machine, once priced at $1,000, is now available for $499. The machine has 60 built-in patterns, three adjustable monogram fonts and 10 frame shapes that can be stitched in 12 border styles. The machine can also be used with Brother's embroidery memory cards, which contain additional embroidery patterns.
A touch-screen display allows users to select and edit designs, and users can even create their own designs. Other features including a quick-set bobbin, which allows the user to begin sewing immediately after dropping in a full bobbin, and a Fast and Simple Threader needle threading system.
The Brother PE-150 is available at Wal-Mart stores.
