Argus Lodge names Mason of the Year

CANFIELD -- Argus Lodge 545 of Canfield met Oct. 26, and officers of the organization named William Butts as its Mason of the Year for 2001.
The title is conferred to a member who has served his organization and practices the tenants of freemasonry, including brotherly love, relief and truth.
Butts was born in Cleveland and came to Canfield as a young child. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and is retired from General Motors in Lordstown. He attends Youngstown Baptist Church.
Also attending the event were his wife, Jean, and his three daughters and nine grandchildren.
