ASSOCIATIONS
XTrumbull Retired Teachers Association will meet at noon Dec. 11 at the Golden Gate Restaurant, 2186 Parkman Road, Warren. The Girard High School vocal music and drama departments will provide the program. Members will be contacted for reservations. The association is conducting a membership drive.
XYo-Mah-O Chapter, International Association of Administrative Professionals, will meet at 6 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Gatsby Restaurant, 54 Westchester Drive, Austintown. Joan Battagline will preside, and Joyce Laska will give the invocation. Tracy Pritchard will present "Assertive Communication." Karen Shidemantle has arranged for association members to be secret santas to provide gifts to children for the Mahoning County Children's Service Board. Gifts should be placed in a gift bag the child's name on the tag. Committee members are Elfreda Hoefer, Lynn Romeo, Tracy Goad and Kathy Stone. XEagles Auxiliary 3298, Austintown, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the aerie. Voting will take place for changes to the bylaws regarding the treasurer's fee.

XA holiday dinner and dance will be held by UPMC Horizon Greenville Auxiliary from 7:30 p.m. until midnight Dec. 8 at Greenville Country Club. A local band will provide the music and dinners include filet mignon, salmon and pasta, a selection of coffees, liqueurs and dessert, and a cash bar. CENTERS
XA Christmas party for members and guests is scheduled by the Hungarian Cultural Center of Northeastern Ohio for 4 p.m. Dec. 9 at Steve's Place, 65 Barrington Town Square, Aurora. There will be a dinner of chicken cordon bleu and roast pork and entertainment. XChaney High School January and June Classes of 1946 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Denny's on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown. All classmates and their guests are welcome.

XMahoning Chapter, Ohio Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at noon Dec. 11 at Poland United Methodist Church. Joanne Collier will preside and Naomi Beardsley will present the program, "Christmas Around the World." Nancy Findley will present the president general's report and Marjory Halter, the national defense report. Members should take a donation for a favorite charity and a gift for a Christmas exchange.
XPolish Arts Club will hold its annual wigilia dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church hall, 702 Cameron Ave., Youngstown. A social hour will begin at 1 p.m. followed by the dinner at 2. Reservations must be paid in full by Dec. 10. For reservations call Marie Rockney (330) 793-1040. XWarren Christian Women's Club will hold "A Jazzy Christmas" brunch from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Dec. 10 at the Avalon Inn in Howland. Speaker will be Gail Murray on "A Forgiving Heart," and there will be special music by the Mineral Ridge Jazz Band under the direction of Joe Yaksich. XYoungstown After 5 Club will hold a "Christmas Melody" dinner from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Marco Polo Room of Lucianno's in Austintown. There will be a catered dinner, and husbands and friends are welcome. Members are asked to take a Christmas ornament for an exchange. The social hour at 5 p.m. will be followed by dinner at 6. Linda Bowden will preside, and officers will be installed. XSalem Elks Lodge 305 will hold its annual memorial service for deceased members at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the lodge, 824 E. State St., Salem. Gary Wadlow will preside, and a memorial address will be given by the Rev. Ross B. Jackson, with music by Debbie Haseley. Connie Cibula will perform taps. Chairman of the event is Philip Crowgey, who will be assisted by Russell Loudon, Mike Oana, Tom Covert and Ken Dixon. Coffee and cookies will be served afterward.

XSpringfield Township Area Republican Women will have its Christmas party at 11 a.m. Friday at Heck's in Columbiana.

XChurch Women United will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at Champion Christian Church, 151 Center St. W., Champion. On the program will be Sally Grant and Olive Reese. Charlotte Jessup will conduct installation of officers, and light refreshments will be served by the Champion Christian Ladies. Women of all denominations are invited.
XSeton Circle will meet at noon Friday at Colonial Catering in Canfield. Betty Fisher will conduct the business meeting, and a yuletide program will be presented by hostesses Mary Lou Krause and Mary Whalen. Guests are welcome.
