Pennsylvania arts and crafts festival has pioneer flair

CLINTONVILLE, Pa. -- Arts and crafts, country western and bluegrass music and a wide variety of unique artisans in a wooded setting highlight the 10th annual American FolkWays Festival, which begins Saturday.
The American pioneer-themed festival offers everything from candle makers and wood carvers to antique engines and antique farm equipment, all placed along wooded paths. Visitors are advised to wear stout shoes and be prepared to do some walking.
There will be children's stage entertainment and a variety of demonstrations including weaving, spinning and chain saw sculpting.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Monday. The site is off old exit 4 on Interstate 80. Follow Pa. Route 308 south for one block, turn right on Hovis Road and follow the signs.
Admission is $4 for adults. Children 10 and under are free. No pets or alcohol are allowed on festival grounds.
