NEGRIL, Jamaica -- Stacy L. Swires, 1904 Glenmount Ave., Akron, and Chad R. Smith, 38 Stull Ave., Akron, exchanged marriage vows during a ceremony that took place at noon Aug. 13 at the Sandals Resort. The couple also spent their honeymoon there.
The bride is a daughter of Charles Swires Jr. of the Glenmount Avenue address. Parents of the groom are Larry and Marsha Smith, 3651 Cascade Drive, Youngstown.
The newlyweds will be honored at a postnuptial reception by invitation on Sept. 1 at Colonial Catering in Canfield.
A registered nurse, Mrs. Smith is employed by Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital.
Mr. Smith is employed by Land O' Lakes distribution center in Kent.
The newlyweds are living in Akron.
