STONEBORO, Pa. -- Trick Pony, a country music trio with Warner Bros. Records, will perform during the Great Stoneboro Fair. Additional musical acts, a demolition derby and a bull riding show are other features of the fair, which opens at 8 p.m. Wednesday and ends on Labor Day. Trick Pony's concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. A fireworks display by Zambelli Internationale will follow at 10 p.m. Gate admission, which is $6, includes grandstand shows. Trick Pony's single, "On A Night Like This," is No. 7 on CMT cable network's "Most Wanted Live" video list.

'Italian Evening' at YSU
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Opera Guild's annual "Italian Evening" of fine dining will be Sept. 15 in Kilcawley Center Chestnut Room at Youngstown State University. A full-course Italian dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by operatic arias and classical songs sung by advanced students of voice at the YSU Dana School of Music.
The first act of Giacomo Puccini's opera, "Tosca," will also be performed, featuring Jenny Marlowe, soprano, in the title role; Dr. Frank Cano, tenor, as Cavaradossi; and Dr. Allan Mosher as Baron Scarpia.
A children's choir from Austintown Middle School, directed by Craig Carson, will also be featured. Other roles will be sung by Dr. Geoffrey Holland, director of choral activities at YSU, Michael Cervone and Jason Fair. Michael Costello will be conductor.
