Reception held for Standohars on anniversary

GIRARD -- Vernon's Cafe and Banquet Center in Niles was the setting for a dinner and reception held July 22 in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Standohar, 423 N. Highland Ave., who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Invitations for the event were issued by the couple's children and their spouses, Mary Jane and Tom Walker and Karen and Dennis Boback, all of Canfield, and Jim and Marie Standohar and Mark and Nancy Standohar, all of Girard. The couple have 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Standohar and the former Eleanor Moliterno were united in marriage July 25, 1951, at St. Rose Church, where they are members.
She is a homemaker, and he was a carpenter at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown prior to retiring in January 2000. He served with the U.S. Air Force and is a member of the Knights of Columbus 2935.
