Medinas observe 50th anniversary by renewing their marriage vows



CAMPBELL -- Friends and relatives were in attendance as Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Medina, 591 Breetz Drive, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows July 29 during a Mass at St. Joseph the Provider Church.
Afterward they were honored at a reception at the Carovillesi Hall arranged by their family, Thomas Medina of Campbell, Dolores and Ronald Eusanio of Tracy, Calif., and Tina Marie and Anthony DeFelice of Poland There are also five grandchildren in the family.
The former Augustina Blazquez and Mr. Medina were married Aug. 25, 1951, at Immaculate Conception Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Joseph the Provider, where they sing in the choir.
Mrs. Medina worked at Truscon Division of Republic Steel Corp. in the claims department approximately 10 years. She has served as a volunteer secretary at the church school and devotes her time to various fund-raising committees at the church.
Mr. Medina served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was mayor of Campbell from 1990 to 1995 and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Campbell for 31 years prior to retiring in 1977. He is a member of the Holy Name Society, is chairman of the Parish Council, is an Eucharistic minister and serves on various committees at the church and throughout the community. He is also a member of the American Legion Post 560, Sons of Italy, Eastside Kiwanis, Campbell Gridiron, Campbell Academic Association, Campbell Boosters and the Arco Veterans Club.
