BOARDMAN -- The gazebo at Boardman Township Park was the setting at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 25 as Jamie Lynn Adkins and Anthony Daniel Scandy Jr. were joined in marriage by the bride's uncle, the Rev. Robert Adkins. A reception followed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel hall in Youngstown.
Parents of the bride are Glen Adkins Sr., 5717 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, and Patricia Moon, 909 Washington Ave., Girard. Mr. Scandy is a son of Anthony Scandy Jr., 5629 London Drive, Austintown, and the late Diane Scandy.
The bride wore an ivory gown designed with beaded straps, V-neckline, lace overlay and train.
Her sister, Christine Adams, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Leslie Granger, also the bride's sister; Shannon Adkins, her sister-in-law; Courtney Wasko, her niece; and Danielle and Kimberly Scandy, the groom's sisters. They wore platinum gowns. The bride's niece, Marie Adams, was flower girl.
Anthony Carfagna was best man, and groomsmen were Anthony Fusillo, the groom's cousin; Jody Riley; Gerald Wasko, the bride's nephew; Anthony Gallo; and Kris Scandy, his brother. The couple's son, Anthony Scandy III, was ring bearer, and ushers were his cousins, John and Michael DiBernardo.
Mrs. Scandy attended Youngstown State University and is employed by Harrington Benefit Services. Her husband is owner of Scandifio Cane Corsos in Berlin Center and is president of the International Cane Corso Federation. They will live in Berlin Center.
