Chopko 50th anniversary is marked during a dinner at the Avalon Inn

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Vitikas, 2398 Chaney Circle, were honored during a reception Aug. 4 at the Saxon Club pavilion for the observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Host and hostess were the honorees' children, Kathy Sinchok or Tucson, Ariz., and Stanley Vitikas of Phoenix.
The couple also renewed their marriage vows June 24 at St. Columba Cathedral and received the papal blessing.
The former Mary Pavlak and Mr. Vitikas were married Aug. 25, 1951, at Holy Name of Jesus Church.
A letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, Mr. Vitikas retired in 1980. He is a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Saxon Club.
Mrs. Vitikas is a homemaker.
The couple are members of Holy Name of Jesus Church.
