Two charged in crack cocaine raid

WARREN -- Authorities have confiscated more than $20,000 worth of crack cocaine.
City police and agents with the federal Drug Enforcement Agency went to a Hillsdale Drive N.W. home around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday and arrested Michael T. Bell, 21, and India Adams, 21, on charges of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Both were to appear in municipal court today.
Police said an 11-year-old child and a 7-month-old child were at the home when it was raided. Police did not know the identity of the parents of the 11-year-old, who was released to relatives. The younger child was turned over to Trumbull County Children Services. The 7-month-old is Adams' child, officials said.
Bell was to be sentenced today in common pleas court on a charge of drug possession in an unrelated case. He faced up to five years, officials said.
Bell was also indicted in May on charges of felonious assault and improper discharge of a firearm. Those charges are pending.
