Glaz-Martin troth announced; date set for wedding

The engagement of Tina L. Glaz, 5904-22 Tattersal Drive, Durham, N.C., and Calvin M. Martin of Roxboro, N.C., is announced by her parents, Martin F. Glaz Jr., 2412 Manor Ave., Poland, and Audene Glaz, 369 Spring St., Struthers.
The future groom is a son of the late Clara and Calvin Q. Martin, who had lived in Roxboro.
The couple have chosen Sept. 22 for their open wedding at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Friendly Bells, Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for their evening reception at The Elm Tree in Struthers.
Miss Glaz graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She is employed by Durham Public Schools as a second-grade teacher at Holt Elementary School in Durham.
Mr. Martin served more than 14 years in communications and cryptology with the U.S. Navy. He holds associate degrees in business, networking and information technology from East Carolina University in Durham, where he is pursuing a bachelor's in information technology and E-commerce. He is a 911 dispatcher with the city of Durham and also works in the ITS department at North Carolina Central University in Durham.
