Traficant files motions

Traficant files motions
BULLETIN: U.S. Rep. James A. Traficant Jr. of Poland, D-17th, in an attempt to prove prosecutorial misconduct in his racketeering case, has filed five motions. The motions were taken to the U.S. District Court clerk's office in Youngstown on Monday evening after the office had closed. The clerk's office sorted out the confusion this morning and accepted the motions with Monday's date. Traficant's trial on bribery racketeering and tax evasion is Feb. 4. If Traficant proves misconduct, the prosecutor on his case would be replaced and the congressman would call him as a witness.
