Man faces charges in equipment theft



LAKE MILTON -- A New Middletown man has been charged in the theft of $90,000 in equipment from a disc jockey service here.
Nicholas Parisi, 21, was arrested last week and arraigned in Mahoning County Court, Austintown, on one count each of felony theft, felony breaking and entering and felony vandalism. Judge David A. D'Apolito scheduled a Sept. 17 pretrial conference.
Police say that May 3, Parisi and 22-year-old John Sherfel of Sheffield Drive, Austintown, stole computer equipment, DJ equipment, camcorders, VCRs and 20,000 CDs from Never Quit Interactive Inc. in the Lake Shore Plaza on Mahoning Avenue.
About one-third of the items stolen were later recovered in the Cooper Street apartment Sherfel shares with his fianc & eacute;e.
Sherfel faces charges of theft, vandalism and breaking and entering. His case was bound over to a Mahoning County grand jury.
