YOUNGSTOWN -- Monsignors David Rhodes and Thomas Kelly officiated at 2 p.m. July 14 at St. Christine Church for the wedding of Rachelle Kent, daughter of Joseph and Rosemary Kent of Youngstown, and Joseph Severn, son of John and Marge Severn of Boardman.
A reception took place at the Maronite Center, and the couple spent their honeymoon in Aruba. They are living in Canfield.
A strapless ivory gown with a corset-style bodice enhanced with crystals was worn by the bride. The A-line skirt flowed to a chapel train.
Nicole Strollo was matron of honor for her sister, and bridesmaids were another sister of the bride, Lisa Kent, and MeLynda Guerrieri, Tracy Kohout, Nancy Massey, Michelle Nespeca and Krissy Thurik. Junior bridesmaid was the groom's cousin, Amanda Severn. They wore cornflower blue gowns. The bride's niece, Rachel Strollo, was flower girl.
Best man was the groom's brother, John Severn, and groomsmen were Matt Severn, another brother of the groom; Joseph and James Kent, the bride's brothers; Matt Bees; Mike Sabelli; and Jason Wurst. Ryan Strollo, her nephew, was ring bearer.
Mrs. Kent is a third-grade teacher with Champion Local Schools. She holds a bachelor's degree in special and elementary education from Youngstown State University, where she is pursuing a master's degree in education.
Her husband holds a degree in marketing management from YSU and is a bartender at Rockne's Pub in Boardman.
