Absaloms mark golden jubilee at dinner party

AUSTINTOWN -- A dinner party was held Aug. 18 at Davidson's Restaurant in celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Absalom of Austintown.
Among those attending the event were the couple's daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Ray Bokesch of Austintown; Pam and Fred Bacak of Mineral Ridge; Mary Campolito of Austintown and Theresa and Nick Doinoff of North Lima as well as their eight grandchildren.
Mr. Absalom and the former Sally Schreiber were married Aug. 18, 1951, at St. Joseph Church in Youngstown.
He retired from Solomon's Super United Foods where he was manager. He also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
His wife is retired from Strouss/Kaufmann's where she was benefits manager.
The Absaloms are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
