Denise M. Szostkowski, 1200 Highgate Road, Wilmington, Del., and Nicholas A. Shovlin, 1791 Island Drive, Poland, are engaged.
The bride-to-be is a daughter of the late Joanna Szostkowski.
The future groom is a son of Paul Shovlin of the Island Drive address and Tamra Shovlin of Austintown.
Miss Szostkowski attended Delaware Technical School, Wilmington. She is a teacher at the YMCA of Delaware in Wilmington.
The prospective groom is a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps and is stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
The couple are planning to be married in September 2003.
