Teen faces charge in balloon-throwing

YOUNGSTOWN -- One of three or four teen-age boys throwing water balloons at cars traveling on Hudson Avenue on the South Side about 10:30 p.m. Sunday was caught and held for police by a passenger in a car that had been hit.
The 14-year-old Hudson Avenue boy was charged with criminal mischief and was issued a summons to appear in juvenile court.
The police report says teen-agers in that area have twice been warned by police about throwing water balloons at cars, which can cause accidents.
The boy caught refused to identify who had been with him and was released to his mother.
