YOUNGSTOWN -- The marriage of Julie Anne Economus, daughter of George and Adele Economus of Youngstown, and Timothy Allan Flaherty, son of Jane Flaherty of Berea and the late Eugene Flaherty, was solemnized during a ceremony July 6 at St. Dominic Church. The Rev. Brian Mulcahy officiated, and the couple received a papal blessing.
A reception took place at The Georgetown, Boardman, and then left for a honeymoon in the Bahamas. They live at 17232 N. 43rd Place, Phoenix.
The bride's twin sisters, Annette Economus and Adele Yanssens, were honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Phillips, Jennifer Ritter and Mollie Kay, the bride's cousins; Juliet Economus, the bride's sister-in-law; and Debra Malarcik. They wore periwinkle dresses.
Jim Marquard was best man. Groomsmen were Marty Flaherty and Brian Flaherty, the groom's brothers; Christopher Economus, the bride's brother; and Jeff Emerling, Joe Bartone and Scott Dress.
Mrs. Flaherty graduated with honors from Cleveland State University with a master's degree in educational administration and earned a bachelor's degree in art education and graphic design at Bowling Green State University. She is a teacher in Peoria City Schools in Arizona.
Mr. Flaherty is a group rental manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Ariz. He has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kent State University.
Seed pearls and sequins accented the bride's gown of Italian silk styled with a chapel train.
