NICOLE WALLISTHOMAS ZACKASEE
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Nicole Marie Helene Wallis and Thomas Ray Zackasee exchanged marriage vows Aug. 10 during a ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame.
Parents of the bride are Robert and Bonnie Wallis of Salem, and the groom is a son of Stephen and Adrienne Zackasee of Campbell.
A dinner was held that evening at Tippecanoe Place, and a reception honoring the couple was held Aug. 11 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Centre, Youngstown.
The bride wore an antique cream satin gown embellished with Swarovski crystals and Barcelona lace and a matching stole.
Bridal attendants were Dena Wallis, Marcella Dearing, Chantel Gonzalez, Nicole Shirilla, Kerrie Johnson and Wendy Baum. The flower girl was Dominique Fortunato.
Groomsmen were Nicholas Hetmanski, Landon Fortunato, John Zackasee, Dennis Osman, John Tovarnak and Joseph Tovarnak. Ring bearer was Tyler Hetmanski.
The bride, who will retain her maiden name, graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in medical pre-professional studies, and is a medical student at Ohio State University.
The groom earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Youngstown State University where he is pursuing a master's in criminal justice and corrections. He is employed by the U.S. Department of Justice.
