CLERMONT, Iowa -- The Rev. David Nelson presided at the 4 p.m. July 7 wedding of Meridith Vi Swenson of Minneapolis and Ambrose Jay Wardle IV, 1408 N. 82nd St., Seattle, Wash.
The daughter of Robert and June Swenson, 28543 Beechnut Lane, Clermont, and son of William and Judith Wardle, 7733 Silver Fox Drive, Youngstown, were honored afterward during a reception at the Barn in Prairie Du Chien, Wis.
After a honeymoon trip to Australia, the couple live at the groom's address.
The bride's satin princess-style gown was enhanced with pearls and bugle beads and featured a deep V-neckline and a chapel train.
Gold gowns were worn by Heidi Solheim, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Nicole Strother, Kim Beitz, and the groom's sister, Mary Jane Wardle. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Rebecca Murray.
John Seasholtz performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Michael Elicson, Christopher Richards, and John Wardle, a brother of the groom.
Guests were ushered by Brian Swenson and Christopher Swenson, the bride's brothers, and Evan Gold and Charlie Kowalski.
The bride is a consultant with Price Waterhouse Coopers in Seattle. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
The groom graduated from Miami University at Oxford with a bachelor's degree and received his master's at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a consultant with Point B in Seattle.
