NEW MIDDLETOWN -- The marriage of Laura Kay Mitchell, 190 Carter Circle, Boardman, and Brian Blasko, 24 Lucerne Lane, Youngstown, was solemnized by the Rev. Nicholas Shori during a ceremony at 3 p.m. Aug. 3 at St. Paul the Apostle Church.
The newlyweds were honored at a reception at the Maronite Center. After a honeymoon in Jamaica, they will live at the Lucerne Lane address.
The bride is a daughter of Lisa Valentini of the Carter Circle address and James Mitchell, 5911 Glenridge Road, Youngstown. Parents of the groom are Mary Lou and Stephen Blasko Jr., 4427 Sheridan Road, Youngstown.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, Mrs. Blasko is a first-grade teacher at St. Charles School, Boardman.
Mr. Blasko earned a bachelor's degree in speech communication at YSU and a master's degree in interpersonal communication at Akron University. He is owner and president of ComSkill Communication, Youngstown.
Pewter gowns were worn byChristine Blasko, honor attendant, and Jennifer Lamping, Victoria Valentini, Lisa Blasko, Erin Nord, Dana Lynn Rodgers and Laney Rafoth-Pinciaro, bridesmaids Flower girl was Samantha Blasko.
Best man was David Blasko. Groomsmen were Stephen Blasko, David Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell, Michael Blasko, Robert Murphy and Deric Madick. Ring bearers were Nicholas Blasko and Vincent Valentini.
Bugle beads embellished the bride's white matte satin gown.
