BOARDMAN Cops seek man accused of indecent exposure

The suspect could not be found at work when police called to check on his whereabouts.
BOARDMAN -- Police are looking for a Pennsylvania man accused of exposing himself to a woman at a gas station and being involved in a one-car accident while fleeing police.
Reports say an employee of the Shell gas station at 5135 Market St. called police just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday and said a man had exposed himself to her from the parking lot area. The woman said the same man had done the same one day before, but ran when she picked up the telephone to call the police. She hang up.
On Thursday, the man ran when the woman picked up the phone, but this time she called police anyway.
Response: A township police officer went to the gas station and checked the surrounding area, but did not see anyone walking or running. The officer, reports say, did see a man who appeared to be in his mid-30s sitting in a white 1990 Pontiac minivan in a parking lot one block away.
The officer pulled behind the van in an attempt to talk to the driver, who took off south on Southern Boulevard. The van turned onto Stanton Avenue headed toward Market Street with the officer in pursuit. Reports say the chase reached speeds of about 45 miles per hour.
Officers spotted the van a short time later after the driver had crashed it into an embankment of trees on Glenwood Avenue. The driver ran from the scene into a wooded area.
Police were unable to find the suspect, but did call his wife, who said he was at work. Officers then called the suspect's employer and were told he had clocked in, but could not be found. They also said his vehicle was missing from the parking lot.
