AUSTINTOWN Forum Health facility opens

The new immediate care facility was recommended by the Austintown Community Advisory Committee.
AUSTINTOWN -- Forum Health opened its new immediate care facility and expanded diagnostic, physical and occupational therapy services at Austintown Medical Park.
New construction and remodeled space totals more than 20,000 square feet.
Hours: The immediate care facility, which does not provide emergency room services, is located at 20 Ohltown Road and is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, Forum Health officials said.
It is patterned after similar immediate care facilities at Beeghly Medical Park in Boardman and Elm Road Medical Park in Cortland, where physicians and other health-care professionals provide medical care for minor illnesses and injuries.
The immediate care service was recommended by the Austintown Community Advisory Committee, which was formed by Forum Health in 1997 with representatives of the general public, government and school officials, medical professionals and other organizations.
"This is about providing high-quality health care close to home," said Kris Hoce, president and chief executive officer of Forum Health. "We believe medical care should be convenient and accessible to all residents of our community."
An open house is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Ohltown Road campus. Tours of the facility will be in conjunction with the Children's Miracle Network carnival in the parking lot. Carnival proceeds will benefit Forum Health Tod Children's Hospital.
