BINGO/CARD PARTIES
XNiles SCOPE Senior Center will sponsor its annual card and bingo party from noon to 3 p.m. May 9 at the center, 14 E. State St., Niles. XNorth Sewickely Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will hold a spring card party Thursday at the firehall on Route 65. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. and a luncheon will be served at 7:15. XPymatuning Community Hall will hold a spring craft show from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the North Shenango Community Center, Route 285, Espyville, Pa. Admission is $1. Food will be available. Door prizes will be given every half hour beginning at 9:30 a.m..

XBoardman United Methodist Church Women will hold a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the church, 6809 Market St. Thursday is bargain day. Coffee and doughnuts will be available.
XA rummage and bake sale is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church, 125 N. Brockway Ave., Youngstown. A light lunch and pizza will be available.

SPECIAL EVENTS
XTeen Challenge International Ohio/Pa. Crisis and Referral Center will sponsor a fund-raiser May 18 at Austintown Walmart. Officials of the center will spend time suspended by a crane about 60 feet off the ground for some 24 hours. Participants can keep them aloft by buying time at a cost of $3.50 a minute. The center, 1622 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, provides counseling and placement assistance for clients with problems with drugs and alcohol. XThe YWCA of Youngstown will sponsor a "Let's Go to Lunch" luncheon and lecture from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17 at the second floor club room of the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown. Featured speaker will be Gary Meiter, educator at Animal Charity, whose topic will be "Traveling With Your Pet." The cost is $7. Reservations are required and must be made by May 15. TEA PARTIES
XWestern Reserve Historical Society will sponsor a Victorian Mom and Me tea party from noon to 2 p.m. May 12 at Loghurst, 3967 Boardman-Canfield Road, Canfield. Participants will learn tea party etiquette, play 20th century parlor games and learn to read tea leaves. Tours of the facility will be available.
