ELIZABETH R. HAWKINS, 78



NILES -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen Church for Elizabeth R. Hawkins, 78, of 10 Olive St., who died Saturday in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
Mrs. Hawkins was born March 21, 1923, in Weathersfield, a daughter of Joseph J. and Della P. Catherine Weatherill Michaels, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was an inspector for Mahoning Glass Plant of General Electric for more than 30 years, and was a member of the church and the Pennsylvania Railroad Ladies Card Club.
Her husband, Ernest, whom she married Nov. 28, 1942, died Aug. 15, 1992.
She leaves a son, Ernest Jr. of Howland; three daughters, Judy Hawkins of Liberty, Marilyn Schultz of Kinsman and Marshal Milliron of Niles; a brother, George Michaels of Erie; 10 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, John and Joseph Michaels; six sisters, Henrietta Renato, Mary Laase, Anna Phipps, Jenney Bundy, Christina Gardner and Irleen Michaels; and two grandchildren, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Robert P. McDermott Memorial Home here. Contributions may be made to Tuition Angel Fund of the church.
