Foster parenting
Local events in observance of Foster Parent Appreciation Month:
May 5: Health fair at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Indianola Ave., Youngstown, 2 to 4 p.m.May 7 and May 14: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Columbiana County Children Services will offer a class for foster parents on dealing with troubled children -- those who are antisocial, don't want to follow rules, etc. -- at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services office in Lisbon, 110 Nelson St. May 18: Foster Parent Dinner, Stress Relief Through Dance, Elm Tree Hall, Struthers, 6 to 9 p.m.; Training: Stress Management, Mahoning County Children Services Board, 2801, Market St., Youngstown, 6 to 9 p.m.May 31: Training: Time Management, Mahoning County Children Services Board, 1 to 4 p.m.
