TRUMBULL BASEBALL Eckenrode leads Ridge to victory over Sebring

MINERAL RIDGE -- Phil Eckenrode had three hits and three RBIs Saturday as the Mineral Ridge High baseball team defeated Sebring, 12-2.
Dan Barton and Craig McCormic added two hits apiece for the Rams (6-7).
Kevin Garland held the Trojans (10-7) to three hits in the game which was called after five innings.
Girard 12, Maplewood 0: GIRARD -- Jason Collins struck out 11, walked two and didn't allow a hit for his second no-hitter of the season.
In a 20-hit Indians' onslaught, Collins was 4-for-4 with three singles and a triple.
Shawn Pertarca, Dustin Helle, Elliott Steverson, Michael Pearson and Joe Ponzio all had two hits.
Mike Williams had a single and a home run.
Greg Cook had three hits for the Indians.
Warren JFK 17-5, Newton Falls 5-10: NEWTON FALLS -- After losing the first game, Newton Falls came back to prevail in the second contest.
Andy Neiss (1-0) of the Tigers scattered three hits in going the distance to pick up the win in the second game.
Scott Wilson hit a triple and single, Dave Montgomery a double and single and Jason Spahlinger two singles to pace Newton Falls.
LaBrae 9, Brookfield 5: BROOKFIELD -- Brett Briscoe homered and had a single while Adam Rogers and R.J. Grimm both added two hits as part of LaBrae's 11-hit parade in the Trumbull Athletic Conference baseball game Friday. The Vikings are 7-3.
Adam Daugherty had a pair of singles for Brookfield (3-8).
Liberty 8, Newton Falls 7: LIBERTY -- Tom Blackiston went 4-for-4 with a double while Joe Lopez had three hits including two doubles for the Leopards (4-11, 3-5).
For the Tigers, Dave Montgomery went 4-for-4 with a double and a triple while Eric Lance hit a homer and two singles.
