PAUL D. BLUM, 73 Owned B & amp;B Restaurant and Lounge
POLAND -- Private services will be later in Wheeling, W.Va., for Paul D. Blum, 73, of 7524 Clovermead, formerly of Wheeling, who died Thursday in Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Mr. Blum was born July 20, 1927, in Wheeling, a son of William and Hilda Winters Blum.
He retired as vice president of American Paper Products and then owned and operated B & amp;B Restaurant and Lounge in Poland Township. He previously worked for Continental Can in Wheeling and Hazelton, Pa., and Hazel-Atlas Glass in Wheeling and Washington, Pa.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Youngstown and its council. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 213 and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks 28 of Wheeling. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a graduate of Wheeling High School.
His first wife, the former Marion E. Emes, died Feb. 12, 1984.
Besides his wife, the former Carrie Wise, he leaves three daughters, Paula Peterson of Austintown, Michelle Blum of Wheeling and Frances Baker of Mingo Junction; a brother, Robert C. of Boardman; two sisters, Ana Mae Krogh of San Diego, Calif., and Dianne Baber in Florida; and four grandsons.
A son, David W.; two brothers, William and Ivan; and a sister, Dorothy, are deceased.
There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland.
