DORIS JEAN BOONE, 53

YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Black & amp; Phillips Funeral Home for Doris Jean Boone, 53, of 50 E. Florida Ave., who died of complications from surgery Thursday in Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Ms. Boone was born Feb. 13, 1948, in Youngstown, a daughter of Walter L. and Ethel L. Owens Boone, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves four daughters, Lavette, Tonya, Gail and Yolanda Boone; two sons, David S. and Samuel L. Boone, all of Youngstown; four sisters, Pearlene Foster and Ruth Redding, both of Youngstown, Joyce Boone of Detroit, Mich., and Carolyn Boone of Cleveland; 19 grandchildren, including Tanisha, Keiasha, DeWayne and Zvontia Boone, whom she reared; and four great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Sonya L. Boone; two brothers, Walter Jr. and Richard Boone; a sister, Joanne Pruitt; a granddaughter; and a companion, Sam Gilford Jr., are deceased.
Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.
