AWARDS Goodwill Industries to hold annual recognition banquet

The event will honor the outstanding achievements of people with disabilities.
LIBERTY -- An annual awards banquet will be held by Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries on May 10 at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre.
Acknowledged at the event will be the outstanding efforts of Goodwill employees and trainees in the five-county area and the achievements of people with disabilities in the community.
Also recognized during the evening will be the support given by businesses and individuals in the community.
This year's banquet will serve as the kick-off to the 25th anniversary celebration of the Youngstown Radio Reading Service. The nonprofit radio station serves the print-handicapped in the area and provides specially tuned radios, free of charge, to qualified listeners.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Youngstown Connection.
To attend: The event is open to the public and will include a cash bar at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 and the program at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $25 a person. Reservations are required by Friday. For information or reservations contact the marketing department at Goodwill, (330) 759-7921.
