LOWRENE HOPKINS, 85



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services were today in Greater Friendship Baptist Church for Lowrene Hopkins, 85, a resident of Omni Manor Nursing Home who died there Monday.
Mrs. Hopkins was born Oct. 15, 1915, Doddsville, Miss., a daughter of the Rev. Bud and Emma Walsh Cruder, and came to this area in 1942.
She was a homemaker and a member of the church, its Missionary Society and flower committee, and was a former worker in its kitchens. She was a member of the NAACP.
Her husband, Clemey, whom she married in 1946, died Feb. 19, 1976.
She leaves a daughter, Earlean Roberts Anderson of Youngstown; four sons, Albert D. Hopkins, William Simmons, Charles Dawson and Leotis Hopkins, all of Youngstown; two sisters, Mary Ashford of Girard and Bertha L. LeFlore of Youngstown; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A son, William E. Hopkins, two brothers, George and Willie Cruder, and two grandchildren are deceased.
Arrangements are by Black & amp; Phillips Funeral Home.
