LAWRENCE COUNTY On the agenda

Lawrence County commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday. They talked about items at Thursday's agenda-setting meeting, including:
Matching a $2,500 state grant to help Slippery Rock Township firefighters buy ropes and pulleys. Firefighters lost some equipment April 8 trying to rescue two Butler County divers who drowned in McConnell's Mill State Park. The rescue divers were trying to save an overturned kayaker, who also drowned.
Approval of a $4,075 contract with Prime Companies to install wireless Internet service in the old section of the Lawrence County Government Center.
Instructing engineers to set up specifications for the demolition of the old jail, which is vacant, to create more government center parking.
Bids for a new courthouse clock tower.
