JOSEPH P. MACKIN, 88



STRUTHERS -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Clemente Funeral Home, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, for Joseph P. Mackin, 88, of 546 Fifth St., who died Thursday in Carrington South Rehabilitation Health Care Center in Youngstown.
Mr. Mackin was born March 5, 1913, in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Mary Thornton Mackin.
He was a salesman for Borden's and Brookfield Dairy and worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation for many years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Besides his wife, the former Margaret I. Furman, whom he married June 30, 1938, he leaves a daughter, Margaret L. Berg of Glenview, Ill.; a sister, Mary Cannatti of Poland; and two grandchildren.
A son, David, and a sister, Catherine Olson, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
