JOSEPH C. KORDIK, 89



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services were Thursday in Sts. Cyril & amp; Methodius Catholic Church for Joseph C. Kordik, 89, of 704 Dean Ave., who died Tuesday at home.
Mr. Kordik was born March 19, 1912, in Rock Rift, N.Y., a son of Andrew and Mary Bugajda Kordik, and came to this area as a child.
He was a grainer at General Fireproofing Co. for 34 years before retiring in 1970. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the church and its Cy-Me Club, Infant Jesus of Prague Guild and Altar & amp; Rosary Society.
Besides his wife, the former Helen Kollar, whom he married Nov. 28, 1942, he leaves a brother, George of Boardman.
Two brothers, Andrew and John, and three sisters, Mary Voytko, Julia Perry and Anna Ridella, are deceased.
Arrangements were by Kubina-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
