CLARK E. SEARFOSS Sr., 71



EAST PALESTINE -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home for Clark E. Searfoss Sr., 71, of 208 Short St., who died Tuesday evening at his residence after a long illness.
Mr. Searfoss was born Feb. 21, 1930, in Weatherly, Pa., a son of Arthur H. and Luella Woodring Searfoss. He moved to this area in 1980.
He served in the Army and was a driver for M & amp;M Trucking and Mitchell Trucking before becoming a self-employed freight hauler, retiring in 1991. After retirement, he was a starter at Grassy Lane Golf Course.
He was a member of the Croatian Club of Bessemer, Loyal Order of Moose 467, and VFW Post 4579, both of East Palestine.
He leaves his wife, the former Joan Dennis, whom he married Oct. 4, 1984; a son, Clark Jr. of Bessemer; a daughter, Elaine Kielar of Edinburg; two stepdaughters, Vicky Doeright of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Lori Randolph at home; three brothers, James of Weatherly, Pa., Clyde of Berwick, Pa., and Arthur of Trappe, Pa.; two sisters, Joan Chernasky and Delores Artim, both of Weatherly, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Ethel Searfoss, is deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
