BOARDMAN Financial firm being created by merger

BOARDMAN -- Hill, Barth & amp; King has merged its financial services division with Sorce Financial Group of Erie, Pa.
The new financial firm will be named HBK Sorce Financial. The deal, which is expected to be complete by the end of July, doesn't affect HBK's accounting division.
Greg Sorce, one of the Sorce founders, said the merger will improve services to clients.
After more than 20 years in financial services, Chris and Greg Sorce formed the company in 1995. It now has 20 employees and nearly $400 million in assets under management.
Its headquarters will become an office of the new company. Chris and Greg Sorce will manage HBK Sorce Financial along with HBK's Chris Allegretti, Phil Wilson and Steve Jackson.
Allegretti, an HBK principal, said the companies want to combine tax and estate planning with financial planning and asset management.
"Because of the strong commitment of both organizations to client service with an emphasis on planning, we believe this merger is an excellent fit," he said.
HBK provides financial services at most of its offices. The Boardman-based company has 15 offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Florida.
