ALTON L. KEMP, 91



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Kinnick Funeral Home for Alton L. Kemp, 91, of Essex of Salem Nursing Home, formerly of Quentin Drive, who died Wednesday afternoon in Salem Community Hospital.
Mr. Kemp was born Dec. 18, 1909, in Youngstown, a son of Roy and Sarah Thomas Kemp. He was a draftsman for 40 years at United Engineering Co. before retiring in 1972.
He was a member of Mahoning United Methodist Church, the Austintown Billiards Club and the American Legion. He was a Mason.
His wife, the former Alice L. Merrick, whom he married Sept. 25, 1938, is deceased.
He leaves two daughters, Aldeane Kemp of Youngstown and Judith Herbick of Salem; a son, Thomas of Youngstown; two sisters, Virginia Fiscus and Beatrice Sharp, both of Youngstown; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
