WALTER J. MASLUK, 69
YOUNGSTOWN -- A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Cemetery here for Walter J. Masluk, 69, of 7716 Jones Road, Cleveland, formerly of Youngstown, who died in early April at home. The Cuyahoga County coroner's ruling is pending.
Mr. Masluk, also known as "Hutch," was born March 16, 1932, in Youngstown, a son of Walter J. and Emma Repasky Masluk.
He was an assembler for Ford Motor Company in Cleveland, retiring in 1997. He also worked for the Van Dorn Company in Cleveland and was a former president of United Auto Workers at Van Dorn. He was an Air Force veteran and was a member of political action committees.
He leaves two daughters, Deborah L. Ferreri of Boardman and Patricia L. White in Washington State; a son, Mark J. of Cortland; a sister, Emily Mansfield of Boardman; a brother, James W. of Vienna; and two grandchildren.
A sister, Rosemary DiMargio, is deceased.
There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by Lane Funeral Home, Austintown.
