OSTIE L. BROWN, 83

COLUMBIANA -- A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, in Jerusalem Lutheran Church here, for Ostie L. Brown, 83, of Fredericksburg, Va., who died March 27 in Fredericksburg Hospice of complications from a stroke she suffered March 13.
Mrs. Brown was born Jan. 24, 1918, in Enon Valley, Pa., a daughter of Rodney and Elizabeth McKinney, and had lived in New Waterford and Columbiana most of her life. A member of the church, she was also a member of RSVP and the Senior Citizens of Columbiana, and volunteered at Cresthill Elementary School and Southside Preschool.
She had worked at Sealy Furniture, formerly Cherry Hill Furniture, for 21 years.
Her husband, Victor C., whom she married Nov. 4, 1938, died June 2, 1961.
She leaves a daughter, Judith E. Humphrey of Stafford, Va.; two sons, DuWayne D. Bowie, Md., and Raymond B. of Marietta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A brother, Samuel McKinney, is deceased.
