EMELIA CONTICELLI PRUENT, 78 Publisher of Harrison News Herald



FARRELL, Pa. -- Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Fatima Church for Emelia Conticelli Pruent, 78, of 593 Dewey Ave., Cadiz, Ohio, formerly of Farrell and West Middlesex, who died late Monday in Trinity West Hospital, Steubenville.
Mrs. Pruent, who was known as "Millie," was born Feb. 21, 1923, in Farrell, a daughter of John A. and Rose Stea Conticelli, moving to Cadiz after she retired.
A 1941 graduate of Farrell High School, she retired in 1995 after 24 years as a bank teller for National City Bank of Sharon. After retiring, she worked for the Harrison News Herald, owned by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Randall O'Grady, and was its publisher when it was sold in 1999.
She was a member of St. Teresa Church in Cadiz and had been a member of Good Shepherd Church in West Middlesex. She had also been a member of KCHS Boosters Club and volunteered for its annual Eagle Ball.
Her husband, Patrick J., whom she married Nov. 7, 1941, died Aug. 23, 1970.
She leaves two sons, Patrick E. of Neshannock Township, and Daniel J. of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a sister, Lucy Conticelli of Shenango Township; and two brothers, Joseph R. Conticelli of Hermitage and Elio F. Conticelli of Shenango Township.
A daughter, Patricia O'Grady, and a brother, John F. Conticelli, are deceased.
There are no calling hours.
