YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Christine Church for Anthony M. Russo, 81, of 1111 Aberdeen Ave., who died Wednesday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Russo was born Sept. 26, 1919, in Youngstown, a son of Dominic and Antoinette Gaglione Russo.
He worked for Republic Steel for 35 years and retired in 1981 as supervisor of maintenance. He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of the church, Knights of Columbus 3930 and VFW 7600.
Besides his wife, the former Grace L. Cordova, whom he married Aug. 6, 1942, he leaves four daughters, Nancy Doumont of Boardman, Joanne Martin and Antoinette Russo-Strollo, both of Canfield, and Linda Nemes of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Andrew and Michael, both of Boardman; four sisters, Carmel DeOnofrio of Boardman, Rose Mastrodonato and Mary Russo, both of Austintown, and Clara Navy of Struthers; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
A sister, Angeline Popio, and two brothers, Dominic and Nicholas, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fabrizio Funeral Home.
