BOARDMAN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Davis Funeral Home for Richard C. Davidson, 78, of Shepherd of the Valley, Poland, formerly of Clifton Drive, Boardman, who died early Monday at Shepherd of the Valley, Boardman.
Mr. Davidson was born May 11, 1922, in Lisbon, a son of Charles E. and Helen M. Cole Davidson, and lived in this area most of his life.
A 1940 graduate of South High School, he received a bachelor's degree in engineering from Youngstown College in 1950. He was an engineer for McKay Machine Co. before retiring in 1983 from Wean United.
He was a member of Boardman United Methodist Church and its Three Score Group, had been an elder at Pleasant Grove Church and was a member of the Mahoning Valley Society of Professional Engineers. He was an award-winning amateur photographer and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
His wife, the former Helen G. Fellers, whom he married Dec. 25, 1945, died Dec. 17, 1993.
He leaves two sons, William C. of Boardman and Thomas R. of Hubbard, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight and one hour before services at the funeral home.
