EVERETT JOHNSON JR., 71

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Services will be at noon Friday at Ed & amp; Don DeCarbo Mill Street Funeral Home for Everett Johnson Jr., 71, of 145 Alborn Road, who died of cancer Tuesday afternoon at home.
Mr. Johnson was born Aug. 7, 1929, in New Castle, a son of Everett and Hannah Kirkwood Johnson Sr.
He retired after 25 years as a machinist at Aetna Standard Corp. of Ellwood City, served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War, and was a member of Hoover Heights CMA Church.
He leaves his wife, the former Joan Furlong, whom he married March 11, 1989; two daughters, Kathleen Graham of Butler and Rebecca Bailey of Cincinnati; a stepdaughter, Diann Oprean of New Castle; two sons, Everett III of College Station, Texas, and Nathan of Charleston, S.C.; a stepson, Gary Hiler of New Castle; three brothers, Ronald, Martin and Ralph, all of Cleveland; two sisters, Betty Wyland and Hazel Broadwell, both of Cleveland; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A brother, Charles, is deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Military rites will be provided by New Castle Area Honor Guard.
