The Youngstown Central Area Community Improvement Corp.'s property committee discussed the following at its Tuesday meeting:
The resignation of Alex Downie and Sons as the agency's contractor for repair work to CIC-owned buildings. The Youngstown company, which has done this work for the CIC since 1995, told the agency that it is too busy elsewhere to continue in that capacity. The CIC will look for a contractor to handle emergency repairs until it finds a permanent replacement.The possibility of moving the 7th District Court of Appeals to the city hall annex. The CIC is waiting for Mahoning County officials to determine if there is still interest in the move.The possibility of relocating Youngstown Municipal Court to the Kress Building.The release of the CIC's first newsletter.
