THOMAS P. BAKALAR, 64



POLAND -- Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Kubina-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Youngstown, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Matthias Church for Thomas P. Bakalar, 64, of 1841 Basil Ave., who died Sunday in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Mr. Bakalar was born July 10, 1936, in Youngstown, a son of Stephen and Mary Shandor Bakalar. He worked in the service department at Donnell Ford from 1953 to 1990 and from 1990 to 2000 at Falls Ford in Newton Falls.
He was a member of the church, the Jednota Branch 731, Slovak Catholic Sokols Branch 108, and was a member and past president of the Ford 300 Parts and Service Club.
He leaves his wife, the former Rita A. Salamon, whom he married Sept. 27, 1958; two sons, David T. at home and James T. of Poland; and three grandchildren.
A brother, Richard, is deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the church's Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will have a service at 4:45 p.m.
